Hey, I’m Adrienne (she/her).
Standing Up for Teachers, Standing Strong for Public Education
Leadership Approach
My Vision
A strong and engaged BCTF that represents the voice of members across BC, regardless of their geographical region. My vision sees a union where members can build strong relationships through open communication and trust so we can develop a meaningful voice of strength and activism.
My Intention
I aim to remain firmly rooted in the strong foundation built by past BCTF activists. I look to the future in a way that represents our current truths while always advocating for our hard-fought collective rights. As I grow in the member at large position, I will continue to hone my skills as a representative of a diverse group of teachers across the province. I will also use my valuable experience and knowledge of key issues I have gained in numerous union roles to help support our members across the province so that their voice matters when interacting with their local districts. Lastly, I hope to bring a remote rural voice with provincial experience to the executive committee.
My Focus
Equity and inclusion
Teacher shortages
Assessment and reporting
Professional autonomy
Teacher wellness
Remedy/Best efforts
Improvement to investigations
Assessment and reporting
Pubic awareness of the teacher as a professional
